Engagement Review : Centerpiece and Customized Mineral Water

Dear Diary

Dah lame plan nak review Engagement but KIV sebab tunggu pics from OP. Tapi a bit disappointed sebab after received albums and viewed sume pictures (softcopy) then tak jumpe certain pics like centerpiece, buffet station, and few more. My mistake (I guess) sebab tak inform my OP that I want them to be captured too. (Tapi sebab da name pon "professional photographer", so I thought tak payah inform) OK2, my mistake.. =(

So, during E! aritu, Sya telah ter-gedik meng-design table centerpiece and also customized / personalized mineral water label. Memang gedik..! huhu. Tapi puas ati. Walaupon tak cantek sangat, tapi tetap puas ati! Hehehe

REVIEW TABLE CENTERPIECE

Bought 20 glasses kat Kedai ape ntah tapi nmpak old school kat Kampar. Price: RM 0.80 (8posen) per glass. Size tak besar tapi tak kecik. Kire standard glass kat kedai makan kalaw order teh ais =)

Sya tak rasa rugi beli glass nih sebab kat umah Sya memang tak cukup cawan. Hahaha. Mak da bising suruh beli set pinggan mangkuk pe sume untuk umah baru tapi so far takde feel nak beli. Rase happy jek kt umah tu eventhough just ade few mugs tu pon courtesy from Darlie, Coffee Mate, Tongkat Ali Orang Kampung, etc. (cawan free)

So, utk centerpiece, Sya designed kan label untuk glass then print sendiri. Every table ade 2 glasses : 1 untuk tissue (harus La warna kuning sebab tema Digi kan..); 1 lagi untuk fresh flower (tak taw ape name bunga nih)

Untuk tissue, memang Sya da carik 1 Kampar tapi tak jumpe warna kuning. Lastly, jumpe jugak kat TFMart (supermarket comeL) kat Batu Gajah. Hahaha. Kebetulan mase tu memang nak fetch my lil brother from his school, so singgah kat TFMart. Price : RM 0.99 (seringgit La kire nye..)

Untuk Fresh flower (tapi tak taw name) my untie Mak Odah brought them all the way from Cameron a day b4 my E! Banyak gile!!! Even after E! pon still ade 2 bundles tak bukak Lagi.. Owh..suke bunga tu..harge tak taw. Mak Odah kate die sponsor (thanks a lot Mak Odah!! Next year Kak Long bagi duet raye K.hehe)

Sya tak ade pic centerpiece on the actual day sebab OP tak amik. And yang sedih nye sya Lupe nak assign adik/cousin untuk amik pics as back up. So nih sume pics during preparation =(

Sya beli 2 kotak Air Mineral Cactus 1.5L. Price : RM 10 per box. 1 box tak ingat ade bape.. Again, sedih sebab tak ade pic during E! aritu. But still, Sya share kat cni pics mase tengah mem-proses air mineral nih. Huhu

Engagement Review / Update

Dear Diary

Just nak update. I am officially engaged! Hehehe.

The engagement ceremony was held on 16 Sep 2012 a.k.a Malaysia Day. An easiest way to remember our E! date, kan..?

Well..overall semua OK. nothing extra gempak. Simple je..

Event started with a simple doa selamat which was led by Abah's friend, then makan2 start dalam pukuL 12 pm.

But that day memang quite hectic! Woke up pukul 6 am. Pukul 8 am I bawak konco2 (my sis and 3cousins) untuk cari fresh flower for my handbouquet. Mak Odah brought many flowers all the way from Cameron but unfortunately bunga tu tak kembang2 lagi. So tak seswai.

bought daisy, and ntah bunga ape lagi, cost me total RM15 (murah kan??). Pastu rush pergi ambik cupcakes and cake at secret recipe (baru nak ambik???) sampai rumah pukul 10.30 am and the MUA da sampai..serabot x??rumah tak kemas Lagi!!

owh..malas nak fikir, I was then proceed ngn make up. Surprisingly, after make up, tengok semua da tersusun cantik! sangat suke! centerpiece da tersusun (later I'll upload the pics), buffet station pon da ready. whoaaa...

On that day, family Aiman sampai quite lambat. Pukul 2 lbh br sampai. Everyone asek tanye and Sya da tak larat nak jawab diorang da sampai mane (Aiman is from Ampang) So from Ampang to Kampar, will take around 2 hours at least.

OK..full review later (bile rajin.huhu). Now, just nak share some pics

Sya rase make up tu tebal sangat but everyone said OK. I even requested the MUA to buang sket but "he" said tak tebal. And insisted that I will look fine in pics. Tp bile tgk pic nih, still rase tebal.
My ex-roomate (Uni) said I look better without make up. Ntah la..

Well this pic is from Kak Jue's fb. Kitorang tak amik pic sangat pon since we have our photographer kan. 3 orang lak tu! hoho. belom campor belah Aiman lagi! bajet glemer jap! hehehe.

My advice to ALL yang bakal engaged : Memang stress while planning / manning our own event. but the most important part actually is we need to trust people around us. Our family, relatives, etc. we cannot afford (the stress) to do it alone. Macam Sya.. seriously pasrah mase make up but after make up, everything turned out to be just like what i've imagined / planned. The arrangement, the flow, etc. Thanks a lot to ALL.. Family, makcik2, pakcik2, cousins, and ramai Lg

Engagement Door gift (Batch 1) : Glass Jar - Settled

Ngeee..tgh2 malam update blog. what does it mean? =p

BTW, last sun I met K. Mai from Lurvering and collected my glass jars. I ordered 200 pcs from her. Remember I told you about the promo? RM1 per jar. Berbaloi (especially to orang yang xde seni like me).

OK, so on Tue mak and abah went to search for my dream kacang (kacang pon msk mimpi. ko hado??hehehe). The best price I can get is RM 7.90 per kilo but out of stock. Sadis kan?? So lastly mak beli jugak from satu kilang nih (surprisingly the price is higher. Adoii)

RM 9 per kilo. Since I have no other option, kitorang beli jugak La..

So, tonight we all bekerjasama masokkan kacang tu dalam glass jar. Mom suggests to add more. Yang tu KIV dulu. But my glass jar officially settled la kira nya. hehehe. Here are some of the pics (sj try tarok watermark.laen-laen kaLer Lak 2. hahahaha. Layan je La..)

DIY mini pelamin : hunting for props

Dear Diary

Yesterday me yang dah Lama berpakat ngn my parents and my sis telah ke Sungai Besar, Selangor. Motif?? = Hunting props for my mini pelamin.

Huh!! ingatkan murah. rumour semua tu.sama jek harga dengan kat Kampar. cheit!

Tapi since da sampai kat sane, so borong jugak La kan..

I went to Ipoh too. People called it "Pasar Bena". Barang-barang pengantin, flowers, macam2 La..mmg banyak kat situ. Price?? Biasa jek. Nak kata murah tu tak La..tp affordable.

So, I bought few things there (at Pasar Bena & Bunga-bunga Cinta Ipoh and at few shops at Sg Besar). So let's look at some of them;

Paper flower (xtaw ape jenis paper nya..crepe kot..)
Location : Kedai Bunga-bunga Cinta, Ipoh (pergh..nama memang tak tahannn!)
Price : RM 4.90 (1 paper boleh dapat 3 bunga besar-size bunga tangan/HB)

Paper Lantern
Location : "Pasar Bena", Ipoh
Price : RM 4 (size besar) the smaller the size, the cheaper its price.

Pasu Putih
Location : Kedai bodo, Sg Besar
Price : RM 12

Flowers (Putih & yellow)
Location : Kedai bodo, Sg Besar
Price : RM 2.50 setangkai (1 tangkai ade 5 kuntum)

Balik tu, kitorg teros start gubah pasu bunga. Since sume orang mmg xde seni, so when we managed to gubah the flowers (or at least made them stick in the vase) pon dikira a big success! hehehe

See.. yang kaler hitam macam bola jarang tu actually wajib beli taw. Mende tu la yang wat bunga tu bentok bulat! hoho. so that's the trick. Though kita xde seni, still boleh gubah bunga2 tu.. cucuk jek kt bola hitam tu. Price?? huh! nampak cam bodo je tp harge RM 12. same ngan harge pasu tu!! Bought at kedai bodo kat Sg Besar.

Abah settle kan the first pasu. hahahaha. Consider ade seni la tu.. =p

Heeeee...eventhough frust sebab harga tak murah seperti yg diharapkan (jauh kot Kampar ke Sg Besar), but still rasa lega biLe tgk bunga yang dah siap tu.. OK, la..
Actually I called the kedai bodo sebab bengang gile dengan tuan kedai cina tu yg sangat berlagak. da la tak bg murah, muka cam hape jek! cakap cam orang xpuas ati. kenapa still beli kat c2?? sebab da dtg jauh2.rs cam *%6&#@* lak kaLau tak beli pape kan..phewww..sabar je La..Lupa nak amik gambar kedai 2.boLeh post kt cni.rs nye kedai *%6&#@* camtu xde copyright ke ape kot..aaaaa...sakit ati biLe ingat!!

Engagement - Door gift (Update Glass Jar)

Yesterday K.mai from Lurvering Door Gift sent to me two designs (I requested both to see which one's better).

"Alhamdulillah.. Finally, ada progress jugak doorgift Sya nih.huhu"

Basically there were two designs sent by K. Mai.

I chose the 2nd design.

Sebelum confirm kan dengan K. Mai, Sya called Aiman tapi tak angkat. Hours later, Aiman called tapi kate die bz sangat. Banyak keje kat office.

Masa balik tetiba Aiman called. Asked me to choose the first design. Siap suruh call K. Mai lagik to change.

I said NO. sape suruh bz sangat kt office. Wekkkkkk =p

p/s : Aiman kate taste Sya mcm Ke****. Hehehehe. Sebab ada lingkar2 pastu kaler kuning. Saye tak kesaaahhhhhh...! hehehehehe

Engagement Door gift : Glass Jar RM1

Still remember this? OK. I've decided to order from Lurvering Doorgift. Serius murah sampai Sya ter-fikir, scam ker nih???hohohohoho

But NO. I've seen her updates - in blog, fb.. memang bz La Kak Rai nih (maw xbz???) Memang murah giler! Mane nak cari glass jar siap sticker + ribbon RM 1 jek??boleh cari?? OK, fine..kalau buat sendiri mungkin Lagi jimat tapi jimat berapa sen je? Tu belom campor kos peluh yang menitis (tadi ter-taip menitits. haha.pe kes??) sbb nk menampaL La, hape La..dapat Lak tangan tak de seni (like me), mmg xjimat La! makin banyak kos adeee!sebab nk re-print and mcm2 Lg.

So RM 1 utk 1 glass jar pada saye memang sangat-sangat berbaloi!!!

Tapi dek kerana terlampaw berbaloi nih, maka until today Sya xdapat Lagi design nye dek kerana Kak Rai ter-sangat bz (saye faham..) Sya percaye kt Kak Rai cume of course sedikit cuak tu memang wujud-lah di benak hati nih! hoho

Hopefully K.Rai xoverlook la.. Hopefully K.Rai xLupe.. Hopefully mine siap as what we've planned/discussed before.. Hopefully cantik Lah hendaknya.. aminn

Yes, this is a continuation of previous entries about my first idea and the laces bought.

I talked to my colleague who is also the sister of the person that I plan to hire (tailor). Hehehe. Senang! We are working together (though different branches), so when I got any question, I will ask her and she’ll get back to me with the answer. Nice kan?

I talked about my idea of baju kurung moden with full lace (top) and only plain chiffon (bottom). I showed her some samples that I love. But when she put her vote on plain chiffon baju kurung modern, then my penyakit “lalang” pon datang.

“Eh, plain chiffon looks better than lace-la”
“But lace gives vintage look”
“Tak over ker for engagement??”
“Orang pakai lace time nikah-la!”

Erk..confused lagi…!

Engagement Theme

Dear Diary,

I’ve decided the theme for engagement nanti.

Hopefully jadi. Though my eng dress will be something that either peach-beige or pink colour, I hope it’ll look good with the yellow theme.

I've talked to my mother too. I told her that I'll probably send my kain lace to the tailor somewhere in mid august. Mom rejected my idea mentah-mentah because she’s worried that the tailor might not able to make it since at that time, everyone will be very-very busy with Hari Raya preparation. But provided the tailor cannot make it, I will buy a pair of baju kurung moden as a backup. Nah!! Banyak tak baju eng sya?? haha. Tak membazir, baju tu nanti can be worn time besties’ or cousins’ weds, etc. OK kan?? Yeay!

I want NO pelamin. Just a simple kerusi with vast left/right hand side.

I've been thinking about door gift since the first day we talked about wed/engagement. Lots of things, ideas stumbled dalam kepale. I read many B2B blogs, vendors' websites, forums, etc. From there, baru Sya taw about the idea of giving glass jar (xkesah La tarok ape pon kan) as door gift utk guests. It's becoming something that is very popular now. (Tapi xpenah dapat pon..well, kt my kampong so far none of us buat camni.xpe..biar Sya buat duLu.hehehehehe)

Design baju tunang Part 2: hunting kain lace

Dear Diary,

actuaLLy this supposed to be my Last month's story..or in easier way, cerita basi! huhu.
But as I said, I want to just share whatever interesting things I found, here.

So, aritu pusing-pusing cari kain lace. and I found these two shops. Quite oldskool.hehehe (new term tu..).

OK, at the first shop, I found the first lace. Exactly like what I've imagined. But colour? Limited-la... Only beige, striking yellow (like the one I uploaded here), black, striking pink and striking bLue. So, basicaLLy coLour memang Sya tak berape prefer sangat..sebab terang mak ngah!

Here are some of the pics. But sorry sangat..because seriously bLurry and tak cLear.
Reason? --> I used my sister's phone.

Yet still I bought 2m lace with beige/light choc colour. Hahaha.

OK. Price? RM 20 per meter. (ActuaLLy RM25. Tapi sebab my colour tu memang almost habis, so die seLambe bagi RM20) OK-la..boLeh try and error. I dun have any experience of buying lace. Lagipon tak rugi pon if suddenly I decided to change to new design for my E!

Next, I went to another shop.Oldskool jugak.. And I found another type of lace. Quite same tapi this one is prettier. Sebab ape, more colours available and the flowers lebih timbul. Bile pegang, boleh rase benang die, obvious!hehehe

And I bought this lace. 2m also!

Price? OK..for this type of lace, the price is slightly higher. (Lagipon die tebal sket)

Price is RM35.. Tapi sbb kedai nak tutup and since he thought I'm a chinese girl (bile sampai teros die bagi ceramah bahase cine. Berie uncle tu mintak maaf when I said I'm a malay) so he gave me RM65 for 2m lace. Discount RM5..huhu

If u r good in bargaining, please go to the shop and mintak murah. Sya sangat tidak pandai!Sekian..

#panjang kan cite arini..weLL..cuti, memang takde keje la kan..hehehe. So, let's plan what we should do with the lace bought. Pulakkk...huhuhu

Inspiration - Design baju tunang

Dear Diary,

Dun know why, this few days, I keep thinking about my baju tunang. Maybe because I got less than four months (then nak tolak buLan puasa, rayer Lg, etc.) And I'm afraid that if I send to tailor in mid July, they might refure to take it since ramai orang tempah baju raya kan..

So must send to tailor paling lambat pon early or mid June..

Ok, talking about design. I am inspired by the lace shirt. Captivating! Suke sangat..
